South African rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes was shot dead on Florida Road Friday night, police sources in Durban have confirmed.
It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the tragic death of South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA. AKA, as he was fondly called by his fans, was killed in a drive-by shooting on Friday night outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban, South Africa. AKA was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and rose to fame with the release of his single “Victory Lap” in 2011 that was featured on his debut album called Altar Ego.
